Flamenco in Seville Featured on Junebug Weddings

Friday, March 8, 2013
Today we are yet again squeaking with delight to have one of our favourite 2012 weddings featured on Junebug Weddings.

It is lovely to be transported back to the summer of 2012 and the wonderful Mediterranean hot sunny days and revisit the wedding we created for Charles and Victoria in the beautiful city of Seville.

Victoria and Charles were a delightfully charming couple from London who contacted us at the beginning of 2012 and booked us as their planner and wedding stylist.  When they contacted us they had already booked a venue in Seville and so the planning started but as the wedding drew closer it became apparent this venue could not afford to open it´s doors so three months before the wedding Carla made an emergency dash to Seville to meet with Charles and Victoria with a shortlist of five venues to choose from and El Esparragal was chosen.  I was delighted as I preferred this venue and so the fun bit began.

Victoria and Charles were so up for an Andalusian theme, they had beautiful moving olive oil ceremony followed by a fabulous Sevillian dancing horse flamenco show to entertain their guests during the cocktail.

We styled the wedding using the famous Osborne Spanish Black Bull, the unofficial national symbol of Spain, and combined this design with a heavy influence of flamenco and  Andalusian passion.  From the red and black polka dot fans to the gorgeous red roses, Anoulka´s fabulous stationery we designed, including the black bull wine glass place cards, the bull style table numbers, our Feria style message poster and the beautiful Order of Service fans with a vintage lace detail beautifully set off this unique wedding style.

We loved styling the chill out, albeit I never realised how heavy haystacks were and Izzi was still picking bits of hay out her legs the next day!

I have to admit it was HOT, I don´t think I have ever drunk so many waters in my life! Heaven knows how Carla and Paloma managed to put their black jackets on ready for the evening to oversee the party.  Such an amazing weekend for everyone involved including us, we so enjoyed it and have so many lovely memories.

Our thanks to Anna Gazda for such gorgeous photos and documenting such a fabulous day.

Paul Gill Minister of Ceremonies Costa Del Sol

Thursday, February 21, 2013

Your wedding day will undoubtedly be one of the most important and memorable days of your life and every last detail will be planned starting with your ceremony.

This is the most important part of your day and it should be a beautiful and meaningful event as you declare your love and commitment to each other sharing your special day with your family and friends.

It is usually at this point I feel emotional, as do most of the wedding party!

Choosing the right minister for your wedding is so important and you have to ensure you are happy, relaxed and confident with the person who is conducting your special service as it will be etched into your memory for ever more.

We met Paul over 2 years ago, he was already conducting wedding ceremonies in Scotland and an almost retired Oestopath and Physiotherapist who was planning on spending more time here in Spain and who can blame him!

Paul has a lovely character about him, he is friendly, warm and charming and we were delighted he was planning to spend time here and offer his services as a minister for weddings.

Paul has now officiated many beautiful ceremonies here in Spain over the past two years and here are some of his testimonials from recent couples.

Quote from Charlotte in the Confeti Magazine which featured her wedding
“Our ceremony was conducted by Paul Gill who I felt genuinely cared about our day. He was very flexible and nothing was too much trouble, he really was a delight to work with”.

Thanks for the service we loved it, although it was super hot! You really did make it personal to us and everyone was very impressed, including the photographer.

If any of our friends are getting married we certainly will be recommending you.
We said goodbye to the last of our guests yesterday so it was back to normal today and we are exhausted.
Thanks again for all you put into our special day.
Kindest regards
Sarah

Just want to send a little message to say thank you so much for the wonderful service you held for us on Saturday it was absolutely perfect!
We all loved every minute of our day!
Thanks again

It was a beautiful and very touching ceremony. Out of all the suppliers/ people involved on the day – you were the only thing we had no worries about. We were confident with your abilities and everyone commented on you afterwards with great compliments. Good job!!!!
You did a lovely ceremony and thanks for you & Pat being part of our day. I wish you well in your role in Spain and hope you have a successful time there.
Thanks and we might contact you for an anniversary sometime!!
regards

Ellen & Martin

Thank you once again for everything you did on the day, the ceremony was made perfect thanks to you. We would never hesitate to recommend you to other people (in fact we already have!) and wish we could do it all again :-)
Hope you enjoy,
Love Char & Tom x
Grooms grandfather:- That was the best marriage service I have ever heard by a mile.

Sunflowers in Seville Wedding

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

Wedding season here in Spain is now truly underway with May and June being incredibly popular months here to get married.

We have been working with our wonderful clients from all over the world to help them create their dream wedding day here in Spain.  After months of planning, designing and emails it is very exciting to see all the hard work come together to create a beautiful day.

Here is a sneak peek of our wedding in Sunflower land last weekend!

As we drove up to Seville to the Hacienda San Rafael to spend the weekend with Amanda and Derrick we were overwhelmed with the sight of field after field of sunflowers, it was an amazing sight.  I have to admit after months of designing this wedding my brain was instantly in overdrive as we approached the venue that we had to include this amazing sight into the wedding as well.  It would have been a shame not to!

Luck has it the wedding styling was already a vibrant lemon yellow combined with the turquoise touches and of course the stunning pinks everywhere with the bouganvilla venue, you cannot fight this colour as it grows everywhere at the Hacienda and is a stunning Andalucian colour to add to your wedding details.

We created so many details at this wedding, from the brilliant chalkboard signs created by Izzi, the paddle fans and order of service created by Anoulka, our dressing up box for the photo booth, games on the lawn for the cocktail by the pool.

The whole wedding was beautiful, from the yellow parasols at the ceremony with the wooden chairs and the gorgeous centrepieces and I think the finale had to be the divine cake from Sweet Things by Fi, it was the star of the show!

Our thanks to Amanda and Derrick for booking us and having faith in us planning their destination wedding on email, to Anna Gazda for her beautiful photography, Anthony and his amazing staff at the Hacienda San Rafael that looked after us so well, Carla and Paloma who I think are probably the best planning team here in Spain :) Anoulka and Izzi for their hugely creative input and details, Fi for her beautiful cake, macarons and cookies (yes I managed to steal one!) and to Rob who ensured the wedding partied well and truly into the early hours of the morning!

More photos to come of this stunning wedding and all the other weddings we are currently working on.  We are off up to Seville again this weekend for a very different Sevillian styled wedding with a very Spanish theme :)

Do check back as we update our blog but for more up to date news of our weddings and parties like our facebook page.
