Styled Inspiration ~ A Fresh Interpretation of Rustic

Tuesday, July 23, 2013
We're falling all over this styled inspiration shoot from Chancey Charm and Griffin Gibson Photography. It's an oh-so-lovely example of how luxury and simplicity can make a perfect pair. Read on for more about what inspired this exquisite styled shoot.

"We start every design process, whether for our clients or photo shoots, with hand drawn sketches. This process is at the heart of what we do at Chancey Charm, and this shoot started with sketches of rosemary, farm tables, velvet, white candles and fluffy roses. We then share our sketches with vendors in order to really translate the vision effectively."

"With this styled shoot, we really wanted to create a fresh interpretation of rustic, and we did that by pairing natural elements like rosemary and wood with luxurious black velvet and mercury glass. We also wanted to highlight vendors that are dedicated to treating the earth and people well. We were fortunate to have some amazing contributors on board, and we are so excited to share their work and their hearts to create eco-friendly weddings."

"We loved working with our beautiful models, David and Marina, and it was so sweet to be a part of the surprise proposal! David called us as we were finalizing plans for the shoot and told us he wanted to propose on set, and it was magical! Marina was so surprised! We love this sweet contrast of luxurious fabrics and textures in a rustic setting, and we think it’s the perfect balance of classic style and the latest trends. We had a wonderful time working with The State Botanical Gardens of Georgia, Morgan from Natural Bridals, Griffin Gibson and all of our talented vendors who made this shoot so beautiful!"

The only way I will ever be able to party in the lot again!
This was completely random and I am so glad that it was!  My girlfriend and I had been talking about going to see Panic for months, but neither of us ever fully commited and bought tickets.
Well the Cosmic Panic Gods must have really wanted us to go because last Wednesday we both had people ask if we wanted to buy tickets!  Fate!  We even got VIP tickets!!
I was in desperate need of a good girl's night!  This was too perfect.
To top it off we were invited to a pregame/ pool party!
We showed up a little late on that one though because this girl had a coupon and needed some new shorts to shake the night away in....Anyway!  Then this awesome pack of weirdos all got picked up in the driveway by that ballin' party bus parked behind us!
[I may have been the first one on the stripper pole, but I swear it was only because I was actually hoding on to it!]
Keg on board and music bumpin!  All the way up until show time!
Soo much fun!
I have been to 12 Widespread Panic concerts
and this last one was hands down the best show I have ever been to!
I'll get SamIam on board some day.

Oh and if you are unawares...check them out!!
This is the song they closed with on Saturday night.

The recording I linked is actually a live recording of it at the same venue from the last time I saw them!

engage!13 ~ Recap

Last month, the 11th luxury wedding business summit, engage!13 was held at the Biltmore Estate and our very own Creative Director, Brooke Thomas was one of the speakers. Of course we couldn't let this honor pass without mentioning it on our blog and giving you a little taste of this (pardon the pun) engaging event.

engage! was created by Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce of international wedding strategy consulting firm, Engaging Concepts to bring together the wedding industry's key players to exchange ideas, network and help attendees take their businesses to the next level.

Since 2008, ten sold out events have taken place with over 1400 luxury wedding professionals attending from over 45 states and 25 countries. "Careful attention is paid to creating an intimate atmosphere of effortless networking in a non-client, non-competitive environment—allowing for an open exchange of ideas, information, inspiration and candid discussions of the issues, challenges and unique opportunities facing everyone in today’s luxury wedding industry."

From panels and small group experiences to fantastic parties, engage! creates the opportunity for you to rub elbows with some of the industry's finest professionals and Weddings Unveiled is beyond thrilled to be a part of such an amazing event!!

Here's a peek into what went on that week. To see more photos from past engage! events, click here.
