A Dream Cultural Wedding in Seville, Spain

Thursday, July 18, 2013

A picture is worth a thousand words.

At the beginning of June last year Margot and Sergy hired us to help them plan, coordinate and design what was going to be an amazing wedding here in Seville.

Having already booked the fabulous Hacienda San Rafael and organising to bring guests in  from all over the world, including Hong Kong and London, Margot and Sergy knew they required help with the planning and styling of their day.

They wished to make sure their guests were well looked after during their stay in Spain and required assistance in organising other events including a bridal shower, a trip to Ronda to see a Jamon Casa combined with a lunch for their guests, a pre wedding dinner as well as their actual wedding day.

After a year of planning and designing, it was a beautiful day as we travelled up to Seville to help Sergy and Margot host their wedding and what an amazing time this was.

Carla arrived first to oversee the pre wedding activities and with her undue care and attention to detail everything ran perfectly and like clockwork.

Carla was closely followed by me in a whirl of flowers, origami hearts, signs, parasols, lanterns, candles and all the finishing touches to style the wedding day.

What can we say other than we love this wedding, the guests and hosts were absolutely charming and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the pre wedding tea ceremony.

There were a lot of sneak peeks and dashing around as all the rituals Margot had explained to us were carried out before the actual ceremony.

The day of fun and games started early with Niki, the make up artist arriving at the venue for breakfast to start the hair and make for Margot and her nine bridesmaids including three different changes in outfits as the day progressed.

A most beautiful service was conducted in the late afternoon by the delightful Lizzie Marriage, followed by a wonderful meal set in the olive groves by the pool.

Rob Rocks the House had the guests on their feet and a fabulous party was had by all.

Fi at Sweet Things By Fi created a beautiful cake on which sat some traditional wooden figures Margot had bought with her which we loved, a mini Margot and Sergy in traditional costume as Margot is from Hong Kong and Sergy is from the Ukraine.

The Hacienda San Rafael is one of my favourite venues, Anthony oozes charm and is the most magnificent host you could ever wish for, Carla is the most amazingly organised wedding planner and combined with our other trusted and wonderful suppliers we created a truly magical day.

As I mentioned before a picture is worth a thousand words and we are delighted to share these stunning images of such a fantastic day from Ramon at El Marco Rojo.

Here is our wonderful thank you from Margot and Sergy for trusting us to create such a fabulous day and we share many lovely memories with them.

Hi Carla & Laura,

We are finally back in London, and still daydreaming about our wedding just a few days ago.
We would like to thank you both for doing such an amazing job - we really cannot describe the feeling we had during and after the wedding. It really was the best weekend we have ever had in our lives - so much happiness and joy, and just seeing all our friends and family together. We felt truly blessed.
It could not have happened without your professionalism and expertise. I hope you enjoyed it just as much as we did, I am sure there were quite a few stressful moments but everyone was complimenting on how great you were. I hope it was worthwhile for you too picking us as clients!

Thank you once again.

Gorgeous Wedding Details at the Hacienda San Rafael, Seville

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

We have been delighted, in the past few weeks, to head up to Seville to one of our favourite venues, the Hacienda San Rafael, to plan and style a few gorgeous weddings at this heavenly hideaway.

Margot and Sergy´s wedding was a wonderful fusion of oriental and Russian influences, including a tea ceremony and we designed and created many fabulous details to bring these elements into the wedding day.

Creating beautiful hand folded paper origami hearts, paddle fans, paper parasols, pretty confetti cones, our famous blackboard signage, table seating plans hanging from the trees and of course gorgeous florals including different pastel coloured posies for the bridesmaids.

To bring the Spanish influence into the wedding Margot´s friend, Clara, created a design for Spanish ceramic tiles which we had created by a local artist, it was such a pretty idea and they were displayed on the tables along with an ad lib card and set off with the paper origami hearts, a mix that worked beautifully on each place setting.

The planning involved in orchestrating this wonderful weekend by Carla, for Margot and Sergy involved the couple organising a pre wedding trip to a local jamon producer for their guests, where they could see the jamons being made and visit the shop, a pre wedding bridal shower spa party in Seville and organising all the transport and accommodation arrangements for the guests to ensure a smooth running event.

It was an amazing weekend culminating in a fun filled wedding day full of delightful details.  We were thrilled to receive this email from Margot and Sergy so soon after their wonderful time here.

The actual photographs will be posted as soon as we receive them but as we had created so many beautiful details and stationery I organised Marea from Lucky Girl Photography to come with us and take some photographs of our work and you can hop over to Marea´s blog to see more of this stunning venue and her fabulous work :)

The beautiful wedding cake was created by Sweet Things by Fi.

We have also been sent a short video by Ensu which is beautiful, to see the video click on this link.
